Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship
The Government of West Bengal introduces this scholarship scheme at various levels of higher studies, at educational institutions based in West Bengal, in order to assist meritorious students from economically backward families in the State of West Bengal in pursuing higher studies. The Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme was completely revamped in 2016 to cover a larger number of students and significantly increase the scholarship amounts.
The minimum qualifying marks for being considered for award of scholarships will be 60% in aggregate, in Madhyamik Pariksha, and the total marks obtained in the Madhyamik Parkisha excluding pass marks in the additional subject, if any, will be the sole criterion for consideration. Candidates whose family income is not more than Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum will be judged according to their academic merit in the under noted manner.
Candidates from outside the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Priyamvada Birla Scholarship Scheme
This scholarship is only available to students from West Bengal. South Point School in Kolkata provides the Priyamvada Birla Scholarship. Students who receive more than 60% on their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination and enrol in any Graduation course in West Bengal are eligible for this scholarship. Download the application form and mail it to the address provided. The application period runs from June to July. The annual family income must be less than Rs.75,000/- to be eligible for this scholarship.
CM Relief Fund Scholarship / WB Nabanna Scholarship
West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund provides scholarships to economically disadvantaged students. To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must have received more than 60% on their most recent exam. The annual family income is not more than Rs. 60,000/-. The scholarship amount is Rs.10,000/-. There is no application deadline.
WBMDFC Scholarship for Minority Students
West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) will award this scholarship to minority students of West Bengal. Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme for Minorities 2023 is open to students in Higher Secondary, Undergraduate Engineering, Medical, Professional Course, Post Graduate course, M.Phil, and Doctoral course.
OASIS Scholarship for SC, ST, OBC Students
Backward Classes Welfare Department of West Bengal offers the OASIS scholarship to SC, ST, and OBC candidates for higher education. Students with a final exam score of at least 50% are eligible for this scholarship. The application is completed online at oasis.gov.in. Applications for this scholarship will be accepted beginning in May.
Kanyashree Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students
Kanyashree Prakalpa was initiated by the West Bengal government for girls from Class 8 to Post Graduate level. Girls in grades 8 to 12 will be eligible for the Kanyashree K1 Scheme, which will provide them with Rs. 750 per year. Girls students over the age of 18 will receive Rs. 18,000 once under the Kanyashree K2 Scheme. Kanyashree K1 and K2 applications are handled offline, and you must apply through your school.
Girls pursuing a postgraduate degree at any university in West Bengal can apply online for the Kanyashree K3 Scholarship scheme.
Aikyashree Scholarship Programme
West Bengal Minority Welfare Department offers pre-matric, post-matric, merit-based, and talent-based scholarships to minority students in West Bengal. Students from Class 1 to Ph.D. can apply through the Aikyashree Scholarship Portal. The entire application process is completed online. Eligible students can apply online for WB Aikyashree Scholarship Programme.
GP Birla Foundation Scholarship Scheme
GP Birla Educational Foundation awards scholarships to students who have recently completed their Higher Secondary exams with at least 80% marks. This scholarship is open to those students who will take admission in any college in West Bengal under Undergraduate Engineering, Medical, Professional Course, Post Graduate course, M.Phil, and Doctoral course. This scholarship scheme will award a total of Rs. 50,000 per year.
Paramparik Scholarship
Paramparik is a West Bengal-based nonprofit organisation that provides educational scholarships to meritorious but financially disadvantaged Madhyamik and HS passed students. Candidates currently enrolled in Engineering, Medical, Nursing, Graduation, and Master’s programmes in India can apply online for Paramparik West Bengal Scholarships 2023.
Aalo Scholarship Scheme
Aalo Charity Organization provides monthly scholarships to students in West Bengal. Students in class XI (Arts, Science, and Commerce) can apply for the Alo scholarship online. The new Alo scholarship application period will begin in August.

KC Mahindra Scholarship
KC Mahindra Educational Trust offers scholarships to needy and economically disadvantaged students who have completed their Madhyamik (10th) or Higher Secondary (12th) Board examinations this year and have enrolled in a Job Oriented Diploma Course.
Students who have enrolled in any Polytechnic Institute for a Diploma Course are eligible to apply for the KC Mahindra All India Talent Scholarships (MAITS). This scheme provides a total of 550 scholarships. Students who are meritorious but economically disadvantaged will be eligible for financial assistance from the KC Mahindra Educational Trust.
Colgate Keep India Smiling Scholarship
Colgate Palmolive (India) has launched the Colgate Keep India Smiling Foundation Scholarship. The primary goal of the Colgate Scholarship 2023 is to provide financial assistance to economically disadvantaged students for their higher education.
Students pursuing BDS, Engineering, a three-year degree, a vocational course, or in class eleven can apply for the Colgate Keep India Smiling Foundation Scholarship 2023. Eligible students can apply online for this scholarship and receive the scholarship money directly into their bank account if they are chosen. Xiaomi India Mi Scholarship
Xiaomi India offers post-matriculation scholarships to Indian school and college students who have recently completed their Class 10th or 12th Board Exam. Xiaomi is offering the Mi Scholarship to assist students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The primary goal of this scholarship is to provide students with financial assistance for their higher education. Eligible students can apply online for this scholarship scheme before December 31, 2023, and the scholarship money will be deposited directly into their bank accounts.
Uttoran Scholarship
Uttoran is a West Bengal-based NGO that offers this Scholarship Scheme to students who have completed their Madhyamik and Class 11 exams. They are currently working on education, healthcare, and livelihood in rural and slum areas of Bankura and nearby West Bengal districts.
Students who have completed their Madhyamik (X) or Class XII examination with at least 60% marks are eligible to apply for the Uttoran Scholarship 2021. Only West Bengal School students are eligible for this scholarship.
